Logic Train is a distraction-free educational game where children aged 4 and up learn coding logic by solving puzzles in a calm and inclusive environment.

Backed by research, Logic Train promotes intrinsic motivation by avoiding common gimmicks like stars or coins, flashy graphics and loud celebrations, so prevalent in today’s games. Instead, it allows children to engage in delightful exploration and puzzle-solving, fostering a genuine love for learning. As children help deliver passengers and cargo, they will learn and practice basic coding logic concepts such as sequencing, loops, conditionals, and functions. They can explore over 80 meticulously crafted levels across four enchanting train lines, each introducing new coding challenges that encourage logical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Logic Train is kid-safe, non-addictive, and features a low-stimulation design with no ads, no micro-transactions, no personal data collection, and no communication with external parties.

As a father of two young boys (5 and 7) and a creator with a background in tech, Logic Train’s creator Ramiro Lopez Dau wanted to teach his kids that technology is not only for consumption but also for creation. And one of the basic tools for creating with a computer is coding.

In his search for suitable options to teach his children coding logic, he discovered that many games and apps for young children were overly stimulating and filled with artificial rewards. Research indicates that these external rewards can diminish intrinsic motivation, reducing the natural joy found in otherwise enjoyable activities when rewarded with things like stickers or gifts.

Unhappy with the alternatives, he decided to create an educational game that respects the gratification of the activity itself: solving a puzzle on your own.

Collaborating with his two children was essential in creating this game. Showing them the creative process and seeing their brains start to think like designers and programmers has been an incredibly fulfilling journey for the whole family.
